Ideal served with red meats, game and mature cheeses of substance
Despite a lot of rainfall during the winter and even in the spring, the forecast for a good harvest was still very good at the end of August. But very hot and humid weather in the first two weeks of September got in the way and forced us into an early harvest. The crop volume is about 15 percent lower than last year. The loss is probably mostly due to animals that ate a lot of shoots. However, the young wines make us feel confident; they are very fragrant, fresh and crisp. They may not have a very long shelf life, but they will be very balanced.
Sandy clay, poor in humus and highly permeable. All these factors are favourable for aromas and preservation
