Our harmonious and pleasant red Il Mandorlo is the result of highly select grape varieties, earning it “Super Tuscan” status.

- Intensely red in colour, with ruby hints; an extremely inviting aroma with vanilla and blackcurrant notes; on the palate it is full and profound, with liquorice, sweet wood and cassia notes. Well-integrated tannins and a good persistence

Ideal served with grilled meats, game birds, game and hard cheeses
Il Mandorlo
The vintage
After optimal sprouting, heavy frosts in early April significantly damaged the newly opened buds, especially in the lower and more exposed areas of the estate. Thanks to good soil management and a switch to the more flexible "Gujot" training system, the vegetation then restarted well. While drought and high temperatures starting in May allowed treatments to be kept to a minimum, temperatures above 40°C subjected the vines to constant stress. The frost and drought greatly reduced the harvest, but we are pleased with the high level of quality.
