From selected grapes of vine fields in the eponymous area, La Palaia is our elegant and concentrated red, exalted by the added nuance of Cabernet Sauvignon, which distinguishes it, earning its place in the line of “Super Tuscans”.

The vintage
A year that was far from easy, characterised by spring frosts and drought, requiring monitoring and constant treatment for fungal diseases and insects like vine moth. The new 'sexual confusion' system has yielded excellent results in the fight against this insect. Faced with unfavourable weather conditions, the selection of grapes is vital for ensuring pure quality. This, along with interventions to restabilise and revitalise the soils of damaged vine fields, caused production levels to fall by around 25%.
